'On The Farm' 3D Paintable Scene

This wooden scene is made from 5 layers of plywood. Each layer is individual allowing for easy painting. Once painted, the layers can be glued together to create a 3D scene.

Instructions & Tips:

  • On a flat surface, paint each layer using a poster paint or acrylic paint.

  • Once dried, the layers can be glued together with PVA.

  • Place a weighted object, such as a heavy book, on top of the assembled layers to ensure they remain flat while drying.

  • Paints can be watered down to create a washed look. Alternatively, a stain can be used. Apply multiple coats of paint to achieve a more opaque look.

  • Elements of the cut-out wood are fragile, do handle with care.
